Please review the following rules with your dancer prior to coming to class:
1. When arriving all shoes, coats, etc. will be put in cubby or on hooks. (Have young dancers wear shoes they can put on and take off themselves)
2. No gum or snacks in class.
3. Dancers must be dressed in dancer attire. Please No play clothes. A dancer will act like a dancer because she will feel like a dancer. This is also important because we try on costumes during class. It makes it very difficult to try on their costumes if they are wearing street clothes and sizing then can get off. Please mark ALL ballet shoes, skirts and other dance apparel with their name on them. Please no leotards, skirts or shoes with feathers as they distract when feathers fall off or are pulled off.
4. Hair must be pulled up and out of face (ex. headbands, elastics, etc.)
5. Please use restroom prior to class.
6. If your dancer will be missing a class please let Miss Heidi know. Also you are allowed up to 2 makeup classes each semester and they need to be scheduled with Miss Heidi. If they miss more than 2 classes, then they will be in fewer performances in the recital. PLEASE MAKE AN EFFORT TO HAVE GOOD ATTENDANCE!
7. Parents/grandparents my observe their dancer, in the dance room; on the FIRST dance class of the month. As a courtesy to all the dancers we ask that if you need to discuss something with us to please wait until dance class is over or you may contact us by phone or e-mail. We want to make sure that each dance class starts and ends on time and we want to give the dancers our full attention. If family is coming into town on other weeks to watch please schedule with Heidi prior to the class.
8. Dance is a privilege and may be taken away by the parents if school grades or behavior is not up to parents/school standards. If this is to happen please notify Heidi.
